Day 1
Today we got an introduction of the V-App task and we could decide what Tech-Stack we are going to use. For anything else we did not have enough time.
Since it was the first day, there weren’t many challanges… Maybe as a challange is to understand the tech stack. Like what component does what in the whole (metro/expo/uniwind/react native and many more)
Time for research. That clarified everything.
I like this approach since it allows flexibility and also allows you to learn into specific things, that interest you.

Day 2
Today I’ve setup the documentation project (this mintlify instance) and also fixed some bugs in it.

Day 3
Today I fixed some scaffolding issues with docker and also fixed some SVG issues with expo.
Yes. Today there were several challanges, like SVG rendering but also the navigation.
For this we used svg to react converters and the expo documentation aswell. We also started reading the navigation part of the expo doc so that we can start implementing it the next time.
We got much technical insight into how expo/react native works. This allowes us to be more efficient later on.👍👍

Day 4
Today I started with the implementation of the expo app. That is navigation and testing client server connection (phone ←→ OrariApertiBackend). I could already start porting some things from the existing frontend to the app.
Yes. The navigation caused some trouble, but we could solve it.
For this we used the expo documentation aswell as their intro playlist. Those were helpful resources.

I had tried to put a stack navigation into a tab nav, but that did not work. It had to be the other way around.😅

Day 5
Today we could roughly finish the expo go App for OrariAperti 🥳. (PR)
Hmmm… No not really… Since we already had react frontend components, we just had to port them to react native, which was easier then I expected… There was only one small challenge/bug I experienced while implementing the components. Instead of using the View component of react-native, I imported View from lucide-react-native which I did not know was this icon: … It took me a looooong time to realise this small mistake since there were no explicit errors, but just very weird behaviour.
Like after spending 20minutes of trying to debug it, I went to check the imports and there I eventually found it…😅
I think I understood how react native, expo go and also expo plugins work👍👍.
In the commits today I’ve also refactored files to split the logic, structure and styling as much as possible to follow the MVC Pattern. You can see this well in our validator.ts.

For the wrong import I first tried to play with the styling (because that was really weird) but that (obviously) did not help at all.

Day 6
Today I’ve finished the Tutorial with the help/consultation with my other teammate.
Hmmm… No not really… We just had to brain storm what we want to write and then do it.
Since I did not encounter any challange today, i cannot answer this question.
We wrote the docs with help from the Expo Go Docs which also gave us deeper understanding into how Expo/React Native works.

Day 7
Today my teammate and I finished the V-App Project. We completed and split up the tutorial and also created a Kahoot so we can evaluate the classes learnings. (Evalute <-> Last step from AVIVA)
Hmmm… No not really… We just had to clarify who wants to do what and then execute.
Since I did not encounter any challange today, I cannot answer this question.
I found out that Kahoot Free has a non-strict limit to 10 Users per Session.
