# Lesson Planning Reflection

> Reflect on the lesson planning process using the AVIVA model and how we used it to prepare the React Native V-App lesson.

    I believe I achieved the learning objectives in the module program because I actively engaged with the material, participated in discussions, and applied the concepts to real-world scenarios. The structured approach of the AVIVA model helped me to systematically plan and execute my lesson, ensuring that I covered all necessary aspects of effective teaching.

    Assisting in developing an app allowed me to observe theoretical knowledge in a practical context. It helped me understand the technical aspects of React Native and how to structure a lesson around it. This hands-on experience reinforced my learning about the subject matter and provided insights into how to at least effectively teach it to others.

    Through the lesson planning process, I gained insights into the importance of aligning learning objectives with instructional strategies and assessment methods. I also learned how to better engage students by incorporating interactive elements. The AVIVA model provided a clear framework for organizing my thoughts and ensuring that I addressed all critical components of effective lesson planning.

    The ideas from my lesson preparation can be applied to future training sessions or presentations by ensuring that I always start with clear learning objectives and design my content to meet those objectives. I can also incorporate more interactive elements to engage my audience and use the AVIVA model (respectively the AVIVVIVVIVA model in our case) as a guide for structuring my sessions effectively.

    I contributed to developing the React Native V-App and creating good lesson preparation materials. I also helped in researching and gathering information about React Native and Expo Go to ensure that our lesson content was accurate and up-to-date.

    My contribution added value to the team by providing a solid foundation for our lesson content and ensuring that we had a well-structured app to demonstrate the concepts we were teaching. This helped us to create a more engaging and effective learning experience for our audience then using the Tutorial approach.

    We did use AI (like ChatGPT and or Perplexity) to help us clarify uncertain concepts/problems we encountered. For the actual development of the app we however did not use any external services, since we had the necessary knowledge and resources (like the superb [Expo Docs](https://docs.expo.dev/) and/or [React Native Reusables](https://reactnativereusables.com/docs)) to create the app ourselves.

    I would asses it as successful, because I have learned a lot about React Native and how to use it to create a mobile app. Also we both have learned a lot about didactics and how to prepare a lesson (i.e. using the AVIVA model, as required/suggested in the learning objectives).

    Creating an app helped me acquire the necessary knowledge because it required me to apply the concepts and techniques I learned (from the React Native Reusables documentation, the Expo Go documentation, and the React Native documentation) in a practical way. It also helped me understand how to structure a React Native project and how to use different components and libraries to create a functional app.

    I gained insights regarding lesson planning, such as the importance of structuring a lesson using a model like AVIVA, which helps ensure that the lesson is engaging and effective, but also interesting for the audience/class. I also learned about the importance of considering the needs and interests of the learners when planning a lesson, and how to use different teaching methods and materials to engage them.

    I believe that the concepts I learned from the lesson preparation could be valuable for future training sessions or presentations, since they provide a structured approach to lesson planning that I believe can help me create more engaging and effective lessons and presentations when the time comes.

    I've developed the React Native V-App template and the main app with the help of my other team partner.
